Daegu Jungbu Police Station

DESCRIPTION
Daegu Jungbu Police Station was established in 1895 with a history of more than 100 years. We designed a place of harmony for citizens and staff who could see the history of the police at a glance.We built Cheonghwagak which was the symbol of moral integrity of civil servants, and Hwadamjeong, a healing space where police officers talk to each other in a friendly manner. We helped them to communicate with citizens whom they worked for. As a new symbol of a historical place, we could provide citizen of Daegu with a new image of the police station in the center of the city.First, the image of 'Cheonghwagak' symbolizes the homogeneity, trust and honesty of the police. Second, the 'Hwadamjeong' was designed to allow resting area for employees , thereby a rooftop garden open to cities and parks. Finally, the form of a full-scale deployment was completed for both citizens and employees with a system that could prevent terrorism and provide citizen with the square when necessary.
