Gwangju Arts High School Building Relocation Construction and Gwangju Arts Middle School

DESCRIPTION
When we designed this educational facility, we considered emptying it for a new filling. In this facility located in Gwangju, the city of art, we tried to capture the artistic spirit, culture, and history. We named such a space urban SCAPE. It was reborn as an art education space by utilizing abandoned urban space. Art is an expression of inspiration and is completed by interacting with other people's artistic sensibilities. We tried to interpret it as the aesthetics of collision and joint and put it in this facility. The design was aimed at improving accessibility through emptiness to the ground, while the sky was designed to symbolize artistic dynamism through an open yard. Therefore, we tried to capture Gwangju's artistic capabilities in this facility.
